What is in a name?

I signed into my email this evening to find a very interesting message from my dear friend Cozzy.  In it, she simply shared the definition of her name found on www.urbandictionary.com....one of my damn favorite sites that Yneone always has me looking things up on....like chitlins *snort-giggle*

S'anywayz.....I thought to myself....Caro?  Let's look up your name and sees what we findz....

Carolyn
1. The feminine version of the name Charles meaning "the woman." Basically never printed on magnets, mugs or other souvenir paraphernalia. Often mistaken for Caroline, Carolina, Carol, Karen or Katherine.
  • I beg to differ on that one right there that's underlined. Although it's a damn hard name to find on shit, I have been pretty fucking successful across Canada. Seems like my country does love me...even if the feeling isn't always mutual. LOL

2. Hottest piece of ass. EVER.
  • *nods head* Hell to the yeah! I LOVE the person who made this entry. LOL!

3. A girl (or guy, but trust me, they're pretty rare) who is very funny, caring, extremely intelligent, talented, and not to mention absolutely beautiful.

In short, she is just perfect.

A Carolyn will get along with nearly anyone and always knows what to say to cheer you up. She is a great friend and would never ever betray you. She would care for you no matter what.

The name Carolyn translates to "song of happiness" (from the word "Carol".) It is also commonly confused with the name Caroline. A Carolyn is the kind of girl who, once you meet her, she will always be in your heart.
  • *sniffle* I hope so *sniffle*
So to my dear friend Cozzy Cozz....thank you for inspiring me to look myself up...it was a fucking treat.

So now I challenge you to look up your name and feel free to comment and share your definitions. I'd love to see if they brightened your day a little too. :D

  1. LMFAO! Oh, where do I begin?

A Carolyn is the kind of girl who, once you meet her, she will always be in your heart. mmhmm. We slept together...that's gotta mean something, right?

So of course I took your challenge and looked up my name...cause I am vain like that...Are ya' ready? So there were 7 definitions, but I picked the ones I liked the best *wink*

    1. Lindsay
    a. who is hotter than the flames of hell

    b. the marvelous and mysterious temptress from the land of eternal joy

    c. a girl who is smarter than albert einstein but as gorgeous as helen of troy (you know the one whose beauty started the epic war)

    2. The original and correct spelling of the popular name meaning 'From the Linden Tree Isle.' Can be a name for both genders, but generally Lindsay is the female form, and Lindsey is the male form. *not ture...-ay is actually the male form...but I AM NOT A GUY*

    3. cutest, heavenly, sweet treatiest, scrumptious, nicest, blissful thing the world has ever seen. It is rumored that this shrine put on earth by God dates back to the 1980s, a period where rock and roll and sex ruled.

    4. beautiful young woman who will never forget how to smile & love although many stones are cast and rumors are spread. She remains strong. She is not a delicate flower. She is not a butterfly with broken wings. Tho lovers become demons she refuses to give up staying positive.
Lindsay is the scapegoat for all your insecurities. An easy target for she's too nice.

    5. Florida term for a girl that wont skin or cook a dead animal and can be a very hot girl.
*you know whats so funny about this to me? I actually do have food issues, I wear gloves if I have to touch raw meat!*

I left off the ones I didn't like...one said something about backstabbing...sorry, thats not me.

That was a good giggle, thanks Caro!
